Hi there!
I’m Elizabeth Awoniyi Olayimika. I am a graduate of the Nursing Faculty, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria.
I was privileged to be a participant and presenter at the last Scientific [Virtual] Conference powered by the Institute of Nursing Research Nigeria (INRN).
It was an exciting experience for me.
Of all the things that made it noteworthy, I would love to mention three of them:
My First Time Presenting At An International Scientific Conference
I was privileged to present my research abstract at the conference: It was my first time presenting at an International Scientific Conference.
The Institute of Nursing Research, Nigeria gave me a stage. I got the opportunity to speak to an international audience and I was provided with all the support that I needed, despite it being my first time.
The Institute made me feel confident, the warmth shown to me alleviated my fear, gave me enough courage & made me forget that I was a novice in presenting at International Conferences.
Exposure To International Standards
Participating & presenting exposed me to a couple of things that I was never aware of, especially when it comes to presenting at an International Conference.
Definite answers were provided to a lot of questions that I had in mind as a young nurse interested in research.
Networking & Relationship
I also got the rare opportunity to connect with other nurse scholars, engage them & learn from them.
New ideas were passed across, intelligent discussions filled the air, and I was motivated to meet like minds in my area of interest/specialization.
I sincerely want to appreciate the Institute for making the conference possible.
There is so much the institute of nursing research can help you achieve in the aspect of research.
You should come on board, and start your journey towards becoming a better nurse researcher.
